Staffing

The Woman Within Training Weekend that each one of us attended would not have been possible if sufficient women had not volunteered their time and energy to organise and staff the training. Participant to staff ratio on the weekend is 1 to 1 to create a safe, nurturing space for the healing process to happen.

Many women have found the staffing experience to be just as powerful and in some ways more powerful than their initial weekend. Staffing is a wonderful opportunity to continue your personal journey, to hold space for other women, and to be supported in return.

Requirements

Each member of the staff has walked the same Woman Within path by experiencing the training herself and they choose to return the gift they received by offering their support to other women attending. First time staff must complete the one day staff training, which is provided by Women for Afrika prior to the upcoming weekend. The role of nurturer may only be performed by a woman who is at her second staffing of a Woman Within Training Weekend, and who has completed the Women Empowering Women workshop.

Facilitation track

Women who feel called to take on more direct participant interaction and leadership roles, need to complete Woman Within Level 2 before they can request to enter the Facilitation track.
